General Motors commissioned an ad to be made for the Chevrolet Gay Day at the Movies. However, after the ad had been released online, the company revoked it saying it was “not appropriate and not in good taste.”
The ad depicted two male models is bright underwear that reads “Camaro” washing a new Camaro.
Now, come on. We see worse everyday on television…it is marketed to its target audience. The ad was not to be played on national television, just at the gay film festival. Not to mention the fact that GM is wasting taxpayer dollars to have a marketing agency create this ad only to scrape it. The ad has been made and paid for, now show it! Maybe it will sell a few cars and make it worth the taxpayers’ money.
